My conclusion is that Ford intends to remain in business as a car company. They pretty much have to include EVs in their lineup.
The US market is now 80% pure ICE vehicles, 15% hybrids, and 5% pure battery EVs.
The ICE fraction is shrinking and the other two are growing.
