I am sad to announce the passing of Howard Shapiro

Faculty member and administrator at Iowa State University and Wayne State University

I had the privilege to work closely with him for eight years on energy-efficiency contracts for the Iowa Energy Bureau, the Iowa Energy Center, and the US Department of Energy.

If you are a mechanical engineer and studied from the Moran and Shapiro thermodynamics textbook you were part of his life, too.
